Our story
The owner and his wife first met as classmates in the Department of Political Science at Chinese Culture University. They were a couple in their student days, and have run the shop together ever since.
Bai Yun Tea House has been in business since 1987. Every tea sold here comes directly from the Shan Lin Xi gardens of Lugu — the owner's own family home town.
Honest dealing, trustworthiness and steady, unshowy work have long earned the shop the loyalty of its regular customers.
Bai Yun Tea House sits directly opposite the Museum of Drinking Water in Gongguan, and is easy to reach.
Aroma Guide 茶香分類
What separates one Taiwanese oolong from another is mostly how far it has been oxidized and roasted. The further it goes, the darker the liquor, the deeper the aroma, and the fuller the body. The band below shows the actual color of the brewed tea, from lightest to darkest.

Light & Floral 清香
Lightly oxidized (under 20%), preserving the tea's natural floral and fresh vegetal aromas. The light, low-temperature roasting results in a bright, refreshing, and naturally sweet taste.

Rich & Mellow 沉香
